Welcome to the SEI-Cincinnati talent discovery experience!

Now that you’ve had a basic introduction to SEI, we want to share more information on what to expect from the rest of your journey. Our process is intended to be different than any other ‘interview’ process you’ve experienced in your career. We’re not looking for our next employee, we’re looking for our next business partner. Our goal is to provide you with insight into our unique business model and learn as much as possible about each other to reach a mutual decision as to whether SEI is the right next step for you. Congratulations on making it to this point, we look forward to hearing your story and sharing ours!

Who is SEI looking for?

We are looking for natural problem solvers who will thrive in a collaborative model and seize the opportunity to be treated like an owner. Our consultants bring a variety of experiences and backgrounds, but share the desire to leave behind hierarchy and titles in favor of peer accountability and transparency in a flat structure. Most consulting firms have a clear divide between those who work ‘on’ the business and those who work ‘in’ the business. At SEI, you will have the opportunity and responsibility to engage in all aspects of our business while supporting our clients. Our business is built on a local delivery model so we value family, community and professional connections to the great city of Cincinnati we call home.

How long is the process?

The experience will be tailored based on your timing and availability, as well as the availability of our team. The opportunity at SEI is not time boxed so the pace depends on your preferences. Assuming ample flexibility, you can expect to meet in person with 5-7 SEI team members over several weeks. Every meeting will be with a team member who is actively engaged with day-to-day delivery with our clients, therefore making yourself available to meet during breakfast, lunch and late afternoon hours is greatly appreciated by our team.

What role am I being considered for?

At SEI we service a variety of clients across multiple industries and therefore, we’re looking for well-rounded problem solvers who can adapt accordingly. We are not looking to fill individual roles with specific skill sets.  And we don’t have a finite number of openings.  We’re always looking for great people and you will not be competing with other candidates for the same opportunity.  We are looking for consultants who are more intrigued by the opportunity to help us build a business than the specific client role they will be engaged with.  With that said, you will have plenty of opportunity along the way to learn about the work we do and hear about “a day in the life” of client engagements from our consultants.  We are always looking for great talent across a variety of domains:

Compensation and Benefits

SEI offers a competitive compensation, equity and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(K), life insurance, PTO, parental leave and a wellness program. As with other aspects of our business, our compensation and equity program is unique and will be covered in more detail at the appropriate time in your discussions.

Awards and Accolades

Our goal is to be not just a great place to work, but a great place to BE. Our company is owned and managed by the people who come to work here every day and our owner’s pride is evident in the awards we’ve received over the years.

Community Engagement

SEI takes pride in our extensive volunteer efforts within our local communities. From the Ronald McDonald house and the SPCA, to the Freestore Foodbank and Back-to-School and Holiday gift drives, to the Juneteenth event at Findley Market, you’ll find SEI volunteers sprinkled throughout community events all year long. The SEI team is dedicated to engaging in meaningful ways to give back to our friends and neighbors.
